How To Teach Kuhlau Sonatina in A Minor (first movement)
Today we're talking about how to teach the first movement of Friedrich Kuhlau’s Sonatina in A Minor Op.88, No.3. This is a relatively unknown piece that packs a lot of punch.
In the YouTube video below, I focused on analyzing the sonata form in this movement as I would with an intermediate student. I also found myself answering the question of “what’s the point of intermediate piano lessons?”
